Garden Explained - 1985 - Preached at Love's Temple in Monroe, GA.

"When we consider the next thought, in that Cain went out from the presence of The Lord, that really tells us something in that he went out from the presence of The Lord, said, "And he dwelt in the land of Nod in the East of Eden." Ok how could it be that he was dwelling in the East of Eden if the garden was in the East of Eden? Well one of the things that we have to consider here is that the garden was not in the East of Eden at this time, because man had been driven out of the garden and the garden had disappeared, and the garden wasn't to be found anymore either in the East of Eden or any other place. So it's obvious that the garden wasn't even here so far as saying the garden was in the East of Eden. I said the other night Eden is not the garden, Eden is a place just like I say Georgia is a state, and Monroe is in (we'll say) the Eastern part of Georgia, or whatever part of Georgia it's in. So it's the same way with the garden, it was in the East of Eden, and of course when man was driven out of the garden then the garden disappeared, and they couldn't find the garden. So it speaks of the land of Nod on the East of Eden."

"I brought out here on a tape not too long ago, how that if we take the outlook concerning Cain and Abel that some of the people have taken, then we automatically make the blood of the son of God of none effect. We make the blood of Jesus of none effect if we take the outlook that all of Cain's children was evil and all of Abel's children was good. We make the blood of none effect, because if all of the seed of Cain was good and all of the seed of Abel was bad, there would be no need (or there would have been no need) for The Lord Jesus Christ to come into the world and spill His blood for the remission of sin, because those that are through Abel are from the son of God, even Adam in that he was called the son of God, and that would mean that there was no need for the virgin birth, no need for the blood of Jesus Christ, because there would be no sin to atone for. All of Abel's seed would be of son-ship because Adam was called the son of God, and Abel would be the son of God, and everything born of Abel would be the son of God, all down through the lineage it would be the son of God, until there'd be no need for The Lord Jesus to come into the world and die. If all of the seed of Cain was bad, all of it was evil, there would be no way that the scripture could be fulfilled, for The Bible said, "It's not my will that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance and have everlasting life," and that, "it's not my will that the wicked should perish, but that the wicked should repent and come to God, and have everlasting life." See the scripture could not be fulfilled because it could not possibly be God's will for Cain to repent and come to eternal life."
